In Sarah Winchester’s day the road outside her house was a country lane called the Santa Clara–Los Gatos Road. After her death it was renamed, first Winchester Road and then Winchester Boulevard; the house’s own timeline places the renaming in the 1960s. Today it separates Santana Row from the Winchester Mystery House and the Century 21 dome.
