Santa Clara–Los Gatos Road

The old country lane that became Winchester Boulevard; Sarah Winchester’s house stood on it.

When Sarah Winchester bought her ranch in 1886, it lay on the Santa Clara–Los Gatos Road, a lane through orchard country. Its isolation is one reason her plan to house her whole family there never worked out. The road was renamed in her honor after her death.
